Event - Year 6 Confirmation

25 January 2018

Congratulations to all our Year 6 pupils who received the Sacrament of Confirmation or supported their peers in doing so and helped to ensure we celebrated a beautiful Confirmation Mass.

The young people were a credit to our school and their families. Bishop David was very complementary about our young people after he spent the afternoon with Year 6.

We look forward to watching the children use their gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit wisely as they continue to be examples of good role models in our school.

Lydia said: "I felt really nervous to begin with, because the Bishop is a really special guest and I wanted it to go smoothly when I took up the offertory. I remembered to do everything properly and I felt very proud of myself. I am looking forward to using my gifts of the Holy Spirit."

Violet said: "It was really exciting to be confirmed, yet I did feel a little nervous in case I forgot what I had rehearsed. Bishop David asked me why I had chosen Saint Bernadette as my Confirmation Saint when I went up to receive the Sacrament. I remembered to do everything right and my family and I had a wonderful time."

Special thanks to all the children from Years 5, 4 and 3 who came to support our Year 6 children. The celebrations that continued onto the next day were enjoyed by all!
